Well, hello there! Thanks for stopping by. I’m Megan, a college senior, majoring in music therapy. I love Jesus, people, music and sugar. SO much sugar. It’s become a rather inconvenient problem. You see, sugar is delightful because it holds such great memories and can be used to create those memories too. Here’s what I mean: you don’t call up a friend and say, “Hey! You want to go grab coffee and brocoli and chat for a bit?” No! The lovely little bakeries where memories are made and hearts are shared usually don’t serve up brocoli or lettuce as a side for coffee. A movie night just isn’t the same without ice cream and I consider a good froyo trip to be one of life’s greatest pleasures. So, that’s one reason I love it. Another reason is, it tastes really good (shocker). But, it has its problems, such as weight gain, sluggishness, sickness, skin problems, to name a very few. I’ve decided it’s time to go radical. It’s time to cut out the sugar and focus on taking care of this body I’ve been given. I have a sensitivity to gluten and dairy as well, so those are going too (waaa). I’m not just doing this for appearance, I do have some health issues that need to be addressed, and I feel like this approach is what my body needs, plus, I need to work on self control, telling myself “no, Megan, you can’t stop at Yogurtville today and spend $4 on that stuff.” (ouch)
I hope to post recipes I’ve found that are tasty (because I believe healthy food can still be enjoyed) and other life adventures that pop up. I’m not a professional photographer or food blogger, so be warned, I don’t really know what I’m doing. 😉
Good job, Megan. A great start! Maybe I can tag along a little bit.
Thanks Daddy! 🙂
Hi Megan,
